Tristram Shandy (A Cock and Bull Story 2005)

A Cock and Bull Story is a 2005 British comedy film directed by Michael Winterbottom. It is a film-within-a-film, featuring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon playing themselves as egotistical actors during the making of a screen adaptation of Laurence Sterne's 18th-century metafictional novel Tristram Shandy. Gillian Anderson and Keeley Hawes also play themselves in addition to their Tristram Shandy roles. Since the book is about a man attempting but failing to write his autobiography, the film takes the form of being about failing to make the film.

Stalingrad: The Last Letters

The hell of Stalingrad. Parts of this almost two-hour documentary are difficult to watch. But besides the agonizing details of the battle that took place from August 23, 1942 until February 2, 1943, this film provides insight into the fascist mindset. From the indoctrinated soldiers to the families at home and the diabolical leadership, we get a picture of a brainwashed society worshipping a militaristic racist authoritarian death cult. When you receive it your son will be gone, I mean he won’t be in this world anymore. We are all very serious about that and will continue the fight. For our beloved Heimat, my beautiful hometown, for my family and the Führer."

Another, from Sanitätsunteroffizier Werner Eisenhauer conveys the soldiers' resolute faith amidst the chaos:

"The merciless fight continues and our good lord is helping the brave! Whatever God’s providence will decide, we only ask him for one thing - the power to persevere! One day people shall say of us, that the German Army has fought in Stalingrad like no soldiers of the world have fought before."

Ghosts of Tangier

Ghosts of Tangier (French title: Fantômes de Tanger, Spanish title: Fantasmas de Tánger) is a 1997 French documentary-style film directed by Edgardo Cozarinsky that officially premiered in France on March 11, 1998. The 87-minute film explores the cultural history, mythology, and cosmopolitan post-war literary community of Tangier.
