Signatures: A Backcountry Skiing, Snowboarding, and Telemark Film

Music: No 100 miles by Jon Swift
http://www.jonswiftmusic.com

From the orange and gold of fall to the pink cherry blossoms of spring, Signatures follows an entire winter deep in the hardwoods of Hokkaido, Japan. Deliciously deep January blower to April corn, we bring you a film about expression, and the art of riding on snow. Every turn has a personality, and every personality has its own unique style: the air, the smear, the spin, the grab, the laid-out cutback carve. Shot in vibrant HD, Signatures is 100% human powered backcountry skiing in all snow-sliding styles: board, noboard, ski, and drop-knee.

The Low Road

I turned 21 in 1990. A glorious age of music was well under way in Australia. The sweaty underbelly of what was called elsewhere grunge had been performed and consumed in the crowded share houses, squats and public bars of most major Australian cities since the mid-1980s. Bands such as The Scientists, The Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists, The James Baker Experience, Blue Ruin, The Hoodoo Gurus, Munroe's Fur, Lubricated Goat, THUG, Died Pretty, Box the Jesuit, Cosmic Psychos, The Butcher Shop, King Snake Roost, feedtime were just some of the brilliance around at the time.

The Beasts, Chase the Dragon

Hoodoo Gurus, Leilani

The James Baker Experience; Born to be Punched

Died Pretty: Stoneage Cinderella

Blue Ruin: Bad Gin

Monroe's Fur. Are you Running with me Jesus?

Kim Salmon and the Surrealists: Je t'aime

The Johnnys, Elvisly Yours

Venom P Stinger: 26 Milligrams

Lubricated Goat: In the Raw

Box the Jesuit. Sniffing at the Tailpipes of Hell

Cosmic Psychos; She's a Lost Cause

THUG: "Penis/Idiot Bum Lout" & "Fuck Your Dad"

The Butcher Shop: Iron Pig

King Snake Roost: Godzilla

feedtime: Love me.
